Curriculum

Our Program offers individualized activities that will encourage the growth and development of both social and cognitive skills.

We enhance both fine and large motor skills through various activities. Daily lesson plans are taught based on weekly themes.

We encourage independent and directed play through the use of Learning Centers.

After a critical evaluation of the strengths of the various curriculums available, Children’s Choice has included the following programs from the best publishers in the industry:

• Infants, Toddlers, and Wobblers: "Einstein Complete Program”

• Tiny Tykes and Preschool: “Land of the Letter People” and the “Preschool Readiness”, “Preschool Enrichment” by Abrams & Company

• Pre-Kindergarten: “The DLM Early Childhood Express” and “Pre-Kindergarten Enrichment” by SRA McGraw-Hill

• Kindergarten: “Beginning to Read, Write, and Listen” by McMillan/McGraw-Hill, and "Kindergarten Mathematics” by Scott Foresman, and “Everyday Mathematics”

We have partnered with these and other specialists to establish a totally unique curriculum that remains sensitive and intuitive to a child’s needs no matter the age, gender, learning speed or ability.

Children’s Choice is committed to evolving the Center’s curriculum each year, beginning with our Infant program and continuing through the Kindergarten Program.

This goal has been achieved through the involvement of both working and non-working parents in the renewal process and by understanding that the community provides the context for learning. Within that context, the New Jersey Standards for Preschool and Kindergarten, as well as the latest development in cognitive and neuroscience research guide our efforts.
