Children's Choice
Overview
Children's Choice
has been providing child care service to the community since 1982,
serving children from six weeks through Kindergarten and continuing
with summer camp until age eight. We've designed a flexible program
that accommodates a working parent's schedule and is sensitive to
both individual child and family needs.
Commuter convenient, we are located just off of
Route 18, near the Lowe's Home Improvement Center.
Hours
are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with
extended care options available up to 7:00 PM. This is a
twelve-month program.
Security is a
priority. Although we have an open door policy to our enrolled
parents, proper identification is required for visitors to have
access into the building. After registering, parents are provided an
security card that allows easy access to the building.

Staff
The Children's Choice staff members
are dedicated professionals who respect and enjoy children. Almost
all of our teachers have been with us for over five years, many over
ten.
Staff members hold certificates in
Infant / Child CPR and First Aid and participation in workshops and
seminars are required.
We have state certified teachers and
our assistants are highly qualified individuals, with extensive
childcare experience.

In addition we are pleased to note two distinguished
educators who have been on staff and who were instrumental in
developing our curriculum: Jo-Anne Lancelotti
and Howard Herbert.
Jo-Anne
Lancelotti is a preschool consultant, a former kindergarten
teacher, educational coach and an educational psychologist. Jo-Anne
enhanced our program by aiding our teachers with innovative and
educational activities for the children. Jo-Anne created a number of
our parent workshops so that our families can come together as a whole
to elevate the level of learning here at Children’s Choice and at
home.
Howard Herbert has been our Curriculum advisor, and has more than
30 years experience working with parents, children and teachers. As a
former Superintendent of Schools and the Coordinator for the Center
for Learning and Instruction at Ramapo College, Mr. Herbert designed
curriculum programs for all age groups, utilizing extensive brain
research on how learning is achieved in young children.
